A sport utility vehicle slammed into a Springfield motel Sunday night.

The crash happened about 7 p.m. at the Motel 6 at 11 W. Leffel Lane.

No one was seriously injured.

First responders initially discussed evacuating the building, but damage was limited to the area around the room that was struck.
